Großglockner High Alpine Road.

Either via Zell am See or Bischofshofen to Fusch and then over Austria’s highest pass road (toll) to Heiligenblut.
A stay of 3 days or more entitles you to a toll voucher. Please request when booking.

Großglockner Hochalpenstraße opening hours

Tauernschleuse car & train – hourly. First departure 06:20, last departure 23:20.

Via Bischofshofen into the Gastein Valley to Böckstein for the car train to Mallnitz. From Mallnitz via Obervellach and Winklern to Heiligenblut.

A10 – Tauern motorway

Via Salzburg – head for Spittal/Millstättersee – exit Großglockner/Mölltal – via Obervellach and Winklern to Heiligenblut.

Felbertauernstraße via East Tyrol

In Mittersill take the Felbertauernstraße road (toll) for Lienz. At the roundabout to the east of Lienz take the 3rd exit and continue on the Glocknerstraße over the Iselsberg to Winklern and on to Heiligenblut.

Driving from the south direct into the Möll Valley

Süd-Autobahn – A2 – via Villach to the exit at Spittal/Lendorf – at Möllbrücke keep right and drive through the Möll Valley – via Obervellach and Winklern to Heiligenblut.
